Who We Are
Ethan Liu
Founder
​Ethan Liu is a junior at Livingston High School. With 11 years of violin experience, he has participated in school orchestras from the third grade and is the current concertmaster of the LHS Chamber Orchestra. Outside of school, Ethan has been a concertmaster multiple times over his eight-year tenure in the New Jersey Youth Symphony. As the co-founder of the Livingston Branch of the musical organization “Senza Sordino,” Ethan aims to share his musical experience with others by hosting local performances and teaching free lessons. Along with music, he regularly participates in both regional and national-level “quiz bowl” (trivia) championships. In 2024, he placed 10th in the Varsity National Geography Bee. He loves to travel and has visited over 60 national parks, monuments, and sites in the United States. Ethan has a pet tabby cat named Whiskers.
Grace Wang
Founder
Grace Wang has been playing violin since Kindergarten. She is now a junior in high school participating in her school’s chamber orchestra as the principal second violinist. Additionally, she participated in NJYS in her freshman and sophomore year. She is experienced in teaching and enjoys helping children learn—through her career in high school she has helped in multiple summer camps, and tutored multiple subjects to her peers. She is excited to grow Senza Sordino’s Livingston Chapter and has enjoyed teaching all her violin students so far. Outside of violin, Grace plays on her school’s volleyball team and is a TA for 2nd-3rd graders at her church.
